Rather pleased and may well invest the the another Shan Zu (Damascus) knife.

We have not used the knife suficiently long enough for proper judgement, but have used it so far to trim meat and fish as well as vegetable preparation and I particularly like the heft; the weight and balance. It is quite sharp and has thus far held its edge. Overall, I must say that I am pleased with the knife. Well done Shan Zu.

I have just received my knife and had to use it immediately. The way it feels has nothing to envy to the more expensive type knifes. The weight and the balance between blade and handle is very well balanced. I can get the rocing cutting motion without stress, use it carefully since it is very sharp :) I am so happy I decided to get this Shan Zu vs other brand names. I will get more knifes from the same manufacturer to replace my old Henkles and to complete my collection. I am 100% satisfied!! Highly recommended!!

Not only is this one well functioning knife, but it¡¯s also beautiful!! If you have never seen or felt a hammered knife then you should definitely get one! This knife is made out of 33 layers of folded and forged steel! The steel is then hammered to create a sharp edge and to bind all the layers together giving it that beautiful look and feel! The knife is amazingly sharp! I truly do like this knife! I will continue to purchase this brand going forward.
