Great quality Knives - Beautiful Block - These are Razor Sharp and Must be Carefully Handled

When I was young I did a lot of work as a chef and learned what good knives are like. These are very good knives. Everything about this set is stunningly beautiful from the incredible block to the handles of the knives. The knives themselves are so sharp, it is almost unreal. Be extremely careful handling these knives as most consumer grade knives are not nearly as sharp as these. Even the wood block can bite you. When I separated the two halves and then put them back together, I had my finger in the wrong place and got a blood blister. So the basic message is these knives are fantastic but be super careful with them.

The set comes with everything you need, although I was surprised there was not a pair of shears at this price point. I'm completely mesmerized by the block and the great quality of the wood that was used. This is something you'll be proud to have in your kitchen, as I am. I highly recommend these and I highly recommend you be very careful with them

Very well balanced and very sharp. Good quality knives

I was very impressed with the look, feel and overall quality of this knife set.
The first thing I noticed when handling the knives was their weight. They are quite heavy. They have a nice weight to them and are able to slice through food with ease. My wife was impressed with the sharpness. They are extremely sharp, especially for a double bevel knife. She used them to cut sushi rolls today. The knife was able to cut easily without tearing.
The knife holder is also made of high quality wood and the front part slides out so you can bring the entire set of steak knives to the table.
The wooden handles are beautiful. This set makes my old knife set (less than a year old) look like trash in comparison.

They look good, feel good and fit good

The SHAN ZU 16 Piece Japanese Knife Set is a complete kitchen knife set, and all of the knives were very sharp right out of the box. The set comes with a nice acacia wood knife block, which matches the black tortoise (Genbu) knife handles. The handles are ergonomic and feel great in my hand while using, making it easy to cut through both small and large items. My wife is also very impressed with the design of the scissors. These knives look and feel like they will last a long time. I am very happy with them so far.

High Quality Knife Set

This 16 piece knife set is complete set. I am very impressed by the quality of this product. The blades for the knives are premium Japanese stainless steel. They are manufactured for flexibility and corrosion and rust resistance. The handles are very comfortable and the overall weight makes these knives a perfect fit when using. The Block has two parts which allows you to separate the Steak knives (2nd photo) which is helpful. The knife block is 8.7 x 6.3 x 8.9 inches. I highly recommend this knife set.

A beautiful and very sharp set of knives that will last a lifetime. But are they worth it?

I. Quality - There is no doubt that this is a high-end set that comes with quality to match. Everything about it feels high-end, from the beautiful blackwood handles, to the razor-sharp blades, and of course, the storage block.
II. Performance - These knives are extremely well shaped and sharp right out of the box. They are easy to sharpen and seem to hold their edge well for a Japanese steel.
III. Use - The shape of the handle is very pleasant to hold in the hand and easy to clean without being too soft.

Overall I really like this knife set and it has quickly become my go-to set, it is a pleasure to use every chance I get. I highly recommend this set, if you like the look on screen you will love them when they are ready to use. So far everything has been great with this set, but if I start having any issues with it I will be sure to update this review.

You can be sure that this article is just my honest opinion and it tries to provide you with useful information that I wish I had before choosing this product. I hope it helped you make your decision.

Perfect Set

Now you can also set the set and the time it takes for the house to be used!

Finally, the knife is fine

It's all in Germany and it's a super set that has its own price.

To clean and maintain your knife, it is best to follow these steps:First, clean the blade with warm water and dish soap. Be sure to rinse and dry the blade thoroughly to prevent rust.Next, use a sharpening steel to sharpen the blade.

Next, use a sharpening steel to sharpen the blade. This will help maintain the sharpness and ensure that the knife is in good working order.

If the blade is very dirty or has food stuck on it, you can use a soft-bristled brush to gently clean it. After cleaning and sharpening the blade, apply a thin layer of oil to the blade and handle. Finally, store the knife in a safe, dry place away from heat and humidity. Finally, store the knife in a safe, dry place away from heat and humidity. A knife block or knife drawer organizer is a good option, as it will protect the blade and prevent accidents.

To sharpen a knife you will need a stone SHANZU sharpening tool or knife sharpener. To use a sharpening stone, first soak the stone in water for about 10 minutes. Then, lay the knife flat on the stone and tilt the blade so that it is at a 10 to 15 degree angle to the stone. Using long, steady strokes, move the blade back and forth across the stone, making sure to maintain the angle of the blade. After a few strokes, move the blade to the other side of the stone and repeat the process. You should sharpen the entire length of the blade, and you may need to repeat this process several times to achieve the desired level of sharpness.

What is Damascus Steel?

The origin of the name "Damascus steel" is controversial: two Islamic scholars, Al-Kindi and Al-Biruni (c. 800-873 CE), both wrote about swords and sword steels based on appearance, the geographical location of where they were produced or forged, or the name of the swordsmith. Both authors also mention the terms "damscene" or "damascus" when describing swords to some extent.

Based on these references, there are three possible sources where the term "Damascus" comes from in the context of steel:

Al-Kindi refers to swords forged in Damascus in Siberia as "Damascene," but it is important to note that these swords are not described as having a wavy appearance on the surface of the steel. Al-Biruni refers to a swordsmith named Damasqui who made swords from crucible steel. In Arabic, the word "damascus" means "watered," and Damascus blades are often described as having a water pattern on their surface.

The most common explanation is that the steel is named after the capital of Syria, Damascus, the largest city in the ancient Levant. The most common explanation is that the steel is named after the capital of Syria, Damascus, the largest city in the ancient Levant. This may be due to swords being made or sold directly in Damascus, or simply the appearance of the typical patterns, compared to damask fabrics, which are also named after Damascus.

What is German steel?

German knives are usually made of stainless steel, which has a Rockwell index of 56 to 58. Stainless steel contains chromium. This is what lowers the Rockwell index. The advantage is that the knife blade is resistant to corrosion and rust.

Chefs generally agree that German-style stainless steel knife blades are more durable than Japanese-style blades. Chefs generally agree that German-style stainless steel knife blades are more durable than Japanese-style blades. Its durability allows you to use it for more cutting and chopping tasks.

The softer characteristic of steel still allows for a sharp edge, but stainless steel will require you to hone and sharpen it more often. The softer steel also makes it easier to sharpen the blade, although a stainless steel blade means a German knife will lose its edge more quickly than its Japanese counterpart, which is made of high-carbon steel.
